Automations that take real work off your team

AutomateLab is an AI and workflow automation studio for small businesses, startups, agencies, and operators. We design, build, and run the automations that take repetitive work off your team - inbox triage, lead enrichment, reporting, document handling, support tickets - so they ship the work you actually hired them for.

What we build

A snapshot of what we ship most. The full catalog has ten tracks across SDR, support, ops, eng, data, and custom AI builds.

Built fluently on

Who this is built for

Four audiences, one shape of work: repeatable jobs a machine could do.

Up to 200 people

Small businesses

Your team already wears too many hats. We take the repeat work off whoever is doing it on the side - invoicing, ticket triage, internal reports.

Pre-seed to Series B

Startups

Founders shouldn’t be the integration layer. We swap duct-tape ops for reliable pipelines so the team can ship the product.

Service businesses

Agencies

Every billable hour on internal admin is one not sold. Onboarding, reporting, QA, content packaging - automated so you take on more clients without hiring.

Ops, RevOps, chief of staff

Operators

You own the seams between the tools. We build the glue that makes it scale past your personal time budget.

Open-source products we ship

MIT and CC-BY-4.0. What we use internally, in the open.

Field notes on AI and automation

We document what we run into in production - n8n debugging, MCP server setup, Claude Code workflows, the Zapier vs Make vs n8n math. Every post is one specific question answered with code, error messages, and citations we’ve verified ourselves.

FAQ

What is AutomateLab?

AutomateLab is an AI and workflow automation studio. We design, build, and run automations for SMBs, startups, agencies, and operators. We also publish a blog, free calculators, and open-source products at /products/.

What problems do you actually solve?

Repeatable work that eats your team’s week. Support tickets, lead enrichment, invoice handling, report generation, internal admin UIs, AI SEO. Anything where a machine could do the thing your team currently does by hand.

What tools do you build with?

Whatever fits the workflow. Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Intercom, Zendesk, GitHub Actions, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude - and custom Python or TypeScript when SaaS glue runs out.

What’s the difference between your services, products, and tools?

Services = we build the automation for you (paid, fixed scope). Products = open-source software we ship at /products/ (free). Tools = free calculators and reference utilities at /tools/. The blog at /blog/ is the public field notes that feed all three.

Where do I start if I’m just exploring?

Read the blog at /blog/, try a tool at /tools/, or skim the service catalog at /services/. When you have a concrete workflow in mind, send it through the contact form - we reply within one business day.

Is AutomateLab a product company or a services company?

Both, but the services pay the bills. The open-source products (agency-os, n8n-mcp, publishing-skills, plus two datasets) are free forever and used internally on every engagement. We monetise the builds.

Do you publish case studies or revenue numbers?

Not yet - we’re early. Field notes on what we run into in production live on the blog; case studies will follow once we have client permission to name names. Ask on the intro call for unblinded references.

Tell us what you would automate first.

One paragraph on the workflow that’s eating your week. We reply within one business day.
